Tee off to win a getaway and help students from HBCUs

Historically Black Colleges and Universities Career Development Marketplace (HBCU CDM) has announced that it will be hosting its second annual golf tournament fundraiser. The event will kick off with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Friday, June 8. The golf tournament will also feature a silent auction and a chance to win a two-night stay at the Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina. The getaway at Pinehurst Resort includes a round of golf for a foursome. All proceeds will fund more than 300 student's trips to HBCU's yearly Career Development Marketplace in November.

HBCU CDM's golf classic fundraiser will take place at the RedGate Golf Course located at 14500 Avery Rd, Rockville, MD 20853.

HBCU Career Development Marketplace is a nonprofit organization founded in 2001 by Tariq Shane. The organization works to bridge the gap from college to corporate for students attending HBCU schools. HBCU CDM assists students in many ways, but the Marketplace event has the most impact. Every November, HBCU CDM invites professional organizations from across the country to meet with the students selected to attend the national conference. Last November's CDM hosted 75 exhibitors and more than 300 students from 22 HBCUs. Students interviewed for positions at the event, and some landed internship and jobs before graduation.

Please support the professional development of HBCU students by reserving your spot today. Sponsorships and tickets to the golfing event are available online at www.regonline.com/HBCUGolfFundraiser2018. Ticket pricing starts at $199.
